Advanced Reasoning

Advanced Reasoning is the slow, expensive, thorough Copilot. Official copy says to use it for intricate circuit behavior, complex multi-layer layouts, signal integrity or power distribution, and decisions that need a long think. Streaming and vision are on, same as the rest of the lineup.

I treat it as a specialist, not a default. A PDN question, a thermal argument about a DFN versus SOT-23, a “why does this USB eye look sad” thread — that is when I would spend the ACUs. For “add an LED on GPIO4,” this model is a waste of patience.

Docs also suggest an iterative pattern: Speedy to explore, General to develop, Advanced Reasoning to validate. That matched how I already work with human reviewers. The difference is the reviewer lives in the Chat tab and can propose schematic edits I still have to accept.
