General
General is the default. Flux says it is fast, capable, and the best value for everyday PCB work: component recommendations, ordinary schematic questions, creating schematic layouts, a balance of speed and cost. If you never touch the picker, this is the voice you get.
That is the model I would leave selected for a new project. It can still attach files, still see the netlist, still propose connections. It is not a toy mode. It is the “I am actually designing today” mode. When an answer feels thin, I escalate. When I am hunting a pin name, I drop to Speedy.
