Speedy
Speedy is labeled faster and less capable. Official use cases are quick responses, simple questions about components or connections, basic part information, routine tasks, and moments when latency matters more than a dissertation. Vision is still there, but docs call it basic image analysis.
I use that kind of model as a glossary. “Is this pin 5V tolerant?” “What is the EN polarity?” “Give me three 3V3 LDO packages already in the library.” If I catch myself asking Speedy to redesign a switch-mode supply, I am in the wrong picker cell.
The ACU story in the docs is not “Speedy is free.” It is “Speedy is the cost-effective option for simple queries.” I still watch the meter. I just refuse to spend Advanced Reasoning tokens on a yes/no.
Pair it with part research and jump to General when the answer needs a paragraph.
